Vice-President for the Euro and Social Dialogue
Valdis Dombrovskis is a Latvian politician and current European Commissioner for the Euro and Social Dialogue, he is also in charge of Financial Stability, Financial Services, and Capital Markets Union. He has also been the Vice-President of the European Commission since November 2014. Before being part of the European Commission he was Minister of Finance of Latvia from November 2002 until March 2004. He became Prime Minister in March 2009 and held the post until January 2014. Dombrovskis was elected Member of the European Parliament in 2014, running with the New Era Party affiliated to the European People's Party.
