'Inventing the future' STEM Challenge at the European Business Summit The initiative is a result of an ambitious collaboration between JA Europe and Arconic Foundation, now in its second year, designed to expose students to different issues and challenges related to material innovation in the manufacturing industry. The project combines STEM and entrepreneurship education through classroom and company site visits, as well as national innovation camps in France, Germany, Hungary and the UK and a European final competition held in Brussels. This year, students were challenged to come up with an ambitious transportation plan for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The best national student teams will compete and present their innovative solutions to an international jury, including representatives from EU institutions and businesses. The event will take place on 7th May from 11 am and consists of two parts:

1. Student competition – presentations of innovative solutions from future entrepreneurs to an international jury panel • Jury Chair: Marcel van der Velden, Global Director EHS Audit, Health, Sustainability and Systems, Arconic • Umberto Guida, Senior Director of Knowledge and Innovation, UITP • Sigrid de Vries, Secretary General, CLEPA • Pascal Belmin, Vice-President EU Affairs, Airbus

2.
