Process and product designer specialized in wastewater treatment, waste valorization and biofuels production.
She is committed to design and implement sustainable solutions in accordance to the circular economy principles which create environmental, social and economical value. Currently, she is a co-founder of an environmental consultancy with a strong focus on by-products (waste) valorization for the bioeconomy. Her philanthropic work is being part of the board of the NGO Engineers Without Borders (The Netherlands).

Extra information:
Fernanda obtained a BSc in Chemistry (Mexico City, Mexico), a MSc in Environmental Process Engineering (Stuttgart, Germany) and a PDEng in Process and Product Design (Eindhoven, The Netherlands).

She has worked as design engineer at Cargill BV in the Netherlands and as research assistant at the Bioprocess Institute of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in Germany.
