Politician, activist, feminist. Barbara Nowacka has been one of the leading figures organising mass protests against the Polish government’s proposals to further restrict women’s access to abortion, despite the current law being already one of the strictest in Europe. Her involvement was recognised by the Foreign Policy magazine, which included Nowacka on its annual list of the 100 most influential global thinkers in 2016. She is nominated for the European Personality of the Year Award in this year’s edition of the European Leadership Awards. Join EBS 2018 and hear more about her experience and her view on Europe!
